Onions from sets are our earliest onions. They come off the field in early summer, well before spring-sown onions. They let us bridge the seasons and offer fresh onions all year round.
We mostly grow these varieties:

From early summer. They open our onion season, then we move on to spring-sown onions and stored produce. That way we have onions all year round.
We mostly grow Takmark, Comae, Kristine, Medusa and Bonus. From red sets we grow Red Baron and Ruby Star.
